1. Appearance and Coating Inspection
The spray coating shall be
uniform, smooth and dense, free of bubbles, peeling, flaking, scratches, pinholes or bare metal.
Cut edges and openings shall be deburred; any damaged coating shall be properly repaired.
Overall color shall be
consistent with no visible color difference.
2. Installation Dimensional Accuracy & Straightness
Cable trays shall be installed
horizontally straight and vertically plumb.
Horizontal deviation: ≤ 2 mm per meter, total deviation ≤ 10 mm.
Vertical deviation: ≤ 1.5 mm per meter.
Joint gaps shall be tight and aligned with no obvious offset.
3. Supports, Hangers and Fixing
Support/hanger spacing shall comply with specifications (typically ≤ 1.5 m horizontally) and shall be firmly fixed without looseness.
Additional supports shall be installed at bends, tees, reducers and end sections.
Hangers and rods shall be vertical; brackets shall be horizontal with
uniform load distribution.
4. Connection and Grounding (Critical Item)
Connecting bolts shall be complete and securely tightened; nuts shall be located
on the outside to avoid cable damage.
Spray‑painted cable trays shall be equipped with
cross‑connection grounding; jumper size shall meet design requirements.
Grounding contact surfaces shall be
stripped of coating to ensure reliable electrical continuity.
The entire system shall be grounded continuously, with both ends and specified points reliably connected to the main grounding bus.
5. Accessories and Sealing
Elbows, tees, reducers, cover plates, partitions and other accessories shall be complete and properly installed.
Wall and floor penetrations shall be
fire‑sealed tightly and neatly.
Expansion joints shall be properly provided to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction.
6. Finished Product Protection & Site Cleanup
The installed cable tray shall be free of obvious dents, welding burns or contamination.
The work area shall be clean with no debris or tools left on site, complying with civilized construction requirements.
